•The rapid development of technology and science is the main characteristic of our society, nowadays. For example, when we are determined to do something, it comes true the other day. Also, we do our best to find out a solution to our problems, so our civilization has changed dramatically. The futuristic cities, which we have only dreamed of, will be built in a few years from now. Despite this, there is a question; will they be built on Earth or on another planet;

BUILDINGS... OF THE FUTURE

•The cities and consequently the buildings of the future, as we know, will be differentiated radically from today’s standards. Towering skyscrapers, underwater, floating and suspended buildings will have their starring role, with common features the convenience of people and the environmental protection. All of them will be made of ecological materials, using renewable energy in harmony with the natural environment! Most of the buildings will be made of alloy metals and glass to be durable and spacious. The movement of people with cars will be reduced significantly because of public transport and cities will be turn green if parks and plants decorate the buildings. The modern cities, as we know them, will be give way to green cities, which however be able to serve more people, with less impact on the environment. Also, the dream of underwater cities and this one of colonization of human species on other planets of our solar system will come true.

•The development of medicine has made people healthier and long-lived. Everyday, some new techniques in biotechnology, like genetics engineering, create powerful medicines and vaccines. This improvement will continue in the future because of robots, which will be controlled by computers. The high technology will be used by surgeons on a daily basis. For instance, robots will be able to be set off only by voice, so they will operate laparoscopic cameras. In spite of the fact that these inventions will be remarkable, the key to success is prevention. This means that more and more people will take advantage of preventive medicine, while being at home. Generally, they will be checked up by some gadgets and this procedure will be taking only a few minutes.

TECHNOLOGY-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES... OF THE FUTURE

•In the future, the technology and the sciences will have been developed. People will only use vehicles, which will not exhaust fumes and will not pollute the environment. Robots will be in every single house, too. Most of them will look like humans and will be able to do a huge variety of works, like washing the dishes or even making a cake! Furthermore, everyone will have a widget-multifunction. People will tell the device what to do and the computer will obey to human voice through a voice synthesizer. Also, they will be able to ask, think and solve problems that a human can’t by himself. In the future, other renewable energy sources will have been discovered. For example, the oceans, which cover most of our planet, is a huge store that will be used in order to solve some issues and improve life on the Earth.
