STANOS
Stanos
 is  a  small  village  near  the  interchange  of   Amfilochia . It 
has  almost  900  inhabitants. The  residents  of  Stanos  live 
traditionally .Most  of  them  are  farmers  and  they  have  flocks 
of sheeps. There are some  magnificent  monuments  in  the  village .
 First
of all , in  the  middle  of  the  central  square there  is  a 
monument  in  which  are 
written
 the  names  of  heroes  of  the  2nd
 world  at  war
Secondly,
 there  is  a  monument  on  the  bottom  of  the  village  in  which  are written  the  names  of  some  people  who  died  in 
the  lake at  26  July  1963. In additionin
 Stanos  there  are  manychurches  and  the  most  famous  of 
them  are : 
Saint
 Dimitrios  , Saint  Aimillianos, Saint Paraskevi and a 
byzantine church  in the  mountain.
Furthermore,
 at  this  period  of  time ,  some  works  are  carried  out  in 
order  to  improve  waterworks. All  in  all,  this   picturesque 
village  has  great  history  as  there
are
many  monuments   in  Stanos  and  the village  is  connected  with 
religion as  there
are
  many  churches. Finally  the  works  about  waterworks  show  that 
the  village  has  
been
 advanced.
Also
near the village there is the Amvrakia Lake which the
area's residents use it for several things such as fishing and the
most important is that they use it in order to water their fields.
