ANOIXIATIKO

Anoixiatiko is a beautiful but small village in front of the sea . It is located in Western Greece and especially in north Aitoloakarnania . In the community of Anoixiatiko included many villages ,like Katafourko ,Plakoti ,Xirolibado ,Tsouka and others . There are many things to see if you want to visit it and especially in summer months . Most of the villagers are working as farmers and fishers . Ουr village produces a lot of things such as olive oil ,olives ,oranges ,milk and honey .

A few things we know about the history of our village . The first houses probably built in the mid of 18th century . During the revolution of 1821 there has been an important battle ,the battle of Makrynoros .Also there is a historical monastery ,the Aretha . It was built in the late of 17th century and it has enormous historical importance for the area . In 1836 became the revolution of Acarnanians ,where participated in the battle against the revolutionars Tzavellas and Grivas .

SPORTS

Our village combines mountain and sea ,so there are many sports that you can do . You can go for climbing and simultaneously get to know the natural wealth of the region . Also you can go for cycling on the road to the sea and have a good time alone or with your friends . As well you can go for swimming in our wonderful sea with turquoise water in a beautiful landscape and taste our fresh fishes in small fish taverns or take an ice cream .
